Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, repair, and resize jewelry, including rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, using specialized tools and equipment.
- Set and secure precious and semi-precious stones into jewelry pieces using prong, bezel, channel, and pave techniques.
- Conduct precision soldering and welding of jewelry components, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and durability.
- Polish and finish jewelry to achieve desired textures, finishes, and aesthetics, maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Operate 3D printing and CAD/CAM technology to assist in the creation of custom jewelry designs, including intricate and bespoke orders.
- Cast and assemble jewelry using advanced techniques such as lost-wax casting or direct precious metal casting.
- Perform detailed inspections to ensure all pieces meet design specifications and quality control standards before customer delivery.
- Collaborate with designers to bring custom jewelry concepts to life, offering technical expertise on feasibility and structural integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety standards for handling precious metals and gemstones.
- Use advanced tools and techniques for stone setting, engraving, and repair to meet unique customer requests.
- No formal education required.
- Minimum 48 months (4 years) of hands-on experience as a Goldsmith or in a closely related role.
- Must be able to speak either English and/or Khmer.
- Occasional travel to Los Angeles, CA (approximately once per year).
